Wednesday.
Dawn breaking on the horizon and one of the coldest nights so far.
I spent the morning blogging, emailing and catching up on some other stuff that i had been meaning to do. In the afternoon, James, Geoff, Uncle David and I went out for a 9 hole round of Golf on the local course. This was the first round of golf that i have played since probably August so not that i was ever any good, but wow i couldn't hit for the life of me. Anyways, at least it was an absolute gorgeous day and the sun made the temperature feel a lot warmer than it actually was. Sad to report that there wasn't a single Kangaroo on the course and i ended the 9 hole round by accidentally walloping james in the head with the club as we was trying to guide my swing. And i managed to do quite a bit of damage as he had a serious bump on his head. OOPS.
Sunset as we were driving into Melbourne.
After golf we had just an hour to get ready to head into the city to see the 10 Tenors perform live. Once we got into the city and parked, we walked down to Southside along the Yarra River and had dinner in one of the local restaurants.
I had Baked linguine with meatballs in a spicy red sauce. My dinner was very good even though i could taste that the meatballs had been made of lamb....not my favorite thing in the world....after dinner we walked over to the arts center to watch the show.
All in all it was a good show. Most of them had great voices but the show lacked a bit of enthusiasm. They shouldve had a big screen set up behind them that showed close ups of their faces as they did their solo's . i think it would've had a much better effect. Also, i was sad that they didn't do any Michael Jackson songs....i can't imagine that they didn't know any! Needless to say, i fell asleep during the first portion because they were singing italian opera stuff and it made me really sleepy. The second half of the show was more fun with 80's stuff and other newer songs.
